Good Morning Sunshine

I made a new printable for my Etsy shop.  The warmer days and sunnier skies inspired me.  Isn't nice to wake up to rays of sunshine?  Don't get me wrong, I love me a rainy day, but after a rather chilly and gray winter, seeing the sun peek through my windows in the morning makes me happy.  The printable below also makes me smile:

Enjoy the sun!

March 8th, 2014

A few Saturday's ago we celebrated a number of events.  The first event being Jim's birthday.  He's getting so much older and wiser!  Unfortunately, our Mr. J was out-of-town on business.  We Facetimed him in the morning, wished him many happy returns, and promised to party once he returned to us.  March 8th is also our cousin, Jovie's eighth birthday, and she was able to get baptized on her special day.  So, after our birthday chat with Jim, the kids and I got ready, drove to Jovie's church, and watched her take a very important step in faith.  It was a beautiful event, and everyone present was so proud of Jovie.

The church where the baptism took place is right across the street from some large rolling hills, which atop rests the Governor's mansion (I think).  The weather was superb, and we couldn't resist traversing across and rolling down the large green mounds.  Pictures of our hill frolicking afternoon below:

We wore ourselves out that afternoon, and decided the perfect anecdote for tired legs and wind-blown hair, was to stop and get some sweet potato fries and milkshakes at West Side Drive-in.  West Side is a favorite eatery I used to frequent on my way home from a long day at the art museum.  I explained to Tralee that I used to stop there way back when she was in my belly, and so it will always be a favorite spot of mine in Boise.  Also, it's fun and the food is always yummy!

We ended the day as we always do, reading and snuggling before bed.  It was a lovely day.

Free St. Paddy's Day Printables

Hi Friends,

Here are a few St. Paddy's Day printables I busted out tonight.  I'm a little behind on things at the moment.  However, I managed to create some free printables after I tucked the wee ones in tonight.   Better late than ever.  If you already have your St. Paddy's decor up for this year, then pin these bad boys and keep 'em in mind for next year.

Below is a picture of a set of three I made.  All three printables are pictured with a link below.  You can print them all and frame them as a set, or just pick your favorite(s) and print that.

I made these as a little set of three, but you can just pick your favorite, and print that one as well.  Links to download below.  Just select the image you would like to download and print.

To save any of the images below to your computer for printing and/or for other use, just click on the image(s) you want, and it will take you the download page.  These files are JPEGs and are sized to 16x20 (can be printed at Costco, or your printer of choice), however; you can also print them as 8x10s right from home.  If you would like a different size, leave me a comment and I'll do my best to add your specifications to the blog.

Enjoy and have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day, and don't forget to wear green!

Movie Night and Nose Troubles

I use this blog for a few reasons, but the main one is to document my family's life.  So, below are two things I need to document.  The first, Family Movie Night!  Every Friday night, we blow up the air mattress, gather all the pillows, and blankets, pop some corn, and snuggle while watching a movie.  Unless there's some other magnificent event to go to, the kids expect Family Movie Night on Friday night.  Someday they'll want to spend their Friday nights with friends, but for now, they belong to me, and I love it!!

Secondly, a few weeks ago at church, Hunter's Primary leader brought a rather distraught Hunter to me while I was in class, and explained that Hunter got something stuck up his nose.  She told me she couldn't see anything, but he was adamant that something was up there.  Luckily, we've had lots of experience with this little guy plugging up his nose with a plethora of treasures.  I took him to the bathroom, and asked which nostril was lodged with an alien object.  He pointed to the right one, and so I told him to stay calm while I blew air into his left nasal passage.  I blew a few times, then checked for the stow-away.  Sure enough, a foreign object appeared WAY UP in his cavity.  I had the blow a few more times into the opposite nostril until two tiny sandaled feet popped out of the other one.  I tugged on the feet and pulled out a rolled-up sticked of Jesus.  I showed it to Hunter, to which he smiled, and looked ever-so relieved.  He also gave me a huge hug, and thanked me, his hero!  I hugged him back, then reminded Hunter that we don't stick things up our nose, and gently ushered him back to class.  I giggled as I walked back to my own lesson, and thought to myself, "Of all the places to 'find Jesus' at church, I never thought it would be up my four-year-old's nose."

Aquarium

A few weekends ago, I took the kids to the local aquarium while Jim was out-of-town.  It was a fun trip.  the kids sure enjoyed it.  Tralee was pretty much soaked from head-to-toe after petting the sting rays.  She was practically swimming with them.  Silly girl.  Below are some pictures from our little outing.

We'll be back I'm sure!
