Trick or Treat

We had a pretty fun Halloween season. Between pumpkin picking, our ward trunk-or-treat (which is where those ADORABLE fairy princess pictures emerged), trick-or-treating with Jared and Audie Jacobs and their girls, and Jim doing his usual Halloween pranks, we had a blast!

Here are some pictures from trick-or-treating with the other Jacobs family.

We had two costumes to choose from (thanks to Adrienne Jacobs) so for trick-or-treating Tralee was a bumblebee. She was a pretty adorable one at that!
Jovie was the star trick-or-treater. She would march up to every door, knock, and then triumphantly shout "trick or treat!" or "Happy Halloween!" or "Happy Hallowtreat!" She was pretty cute. Tralee on the other hand would shy away from any door with spooky music, scary Halloween decor, or just simply because she didn't want to. She had to take Jovie's lead several times, and instead of saying any Halloween greeting Tralee would mumble in her own language. She still got candy, so I guess to each their own!

Below is Jovie and Tralee getting some candy. Tralee refused to hang onto her bucket, aparently a smiling pumpkin is too scary. So, we carried her bucket for her, but after a while she was a pro at picking out a piece of candy and throwing it in her bucket.

Tralee was pretty happy to be out and about.
However, after a while she slowed down significantly to the point that Jim had to carry her on his shoulders or she just wouldn't move.
Our last stop was Jim's Uncle's house. This is the same house I wrote about last year, where they take pleasure in scarring the kids. As you can see below, they didn't have to so anything but sit there and Tralee was freaked!!! Anytime Tralee got scarred on Halloween she did a weird little growly sound. Poor little thing didn't know what to think!

After helping our girls collect as much candy as possible, Audie and I went inside Jim's Uncle's with the girls while Jim and Jared took part in the spooking ritual. Jim was a huge scary dude with a hunchback. Jared was . . . uh . . . a spooky girl in a dress! He actually pulled it off better than any girl could have, he danced and everything! Audie was so proud of her husband. Jim and Jared actually made a pretty cute scary couple. What Halloween will do to some people! CRAZY!

Until next year. . .

What a cute little bee! Sounds like you had a fun night. I love the houses that go all out, it looks like Jim had a good night.

The Tralee bee is just as cute as the fairy princess. I'm not sure which one I like better. Did they scare anybody?
