A Little Cheer for These Sick Dreary Days

We've been sick around here.  Lots of essential oils have been rubbed on the bottoms of our feet, and on our chest (this one is THE BEST - seriously unclogs plugged up noses in a jiffy).  Rubbing lavender oil on the bottom of their feet has also helped my restless kids find some relief from endless coughing, as it helps them slip into dreamland in a matter of minutes.  I've NEVER seen my kids fall asleep so fast in my life.  I'm loving these oils!  I know there's a huge learning curve for me, but I'm excited to find natural ways to cure our ailments around here.  Jim's cousin/my friend is going to come teach a class about them in a few weeks at my house.  If you live around here and are interested, drop me a line!  I'm excited to learn more!

Since we've been fighting off a couple of cold/flu bugs around here, lots of normally scheduled activities have been passed up.  I'm missing the free (isn't that awesome!) Zumba class a lady from our church has been teaching Mon/Wed/Fri mornings.  Tralee has missed pre-school, dance, speech therapy, and playdates this week due to the yucky bug that found its way into our systems.  Darn bug!  Since we've been staying close to home, lots of TV/movies (I'm embarrassed to admit, more than the usual amount) have been watched.  Library books have been devoured, and I'm pretty sure we've all gotten a little stir crazy stuck inside.  I hope our illnesses cease and desist immediately.  I'm ready to get my healthy kids and healthy self back!

To help add a little cheer to these dreary sick days, I made a set of prints that I'm super excited about.  I think they need to be framed and put in our playroom above the toy shelf (I think I've said that before) ASAP or in Tralee's room.

I love the song, "You are My Sunshine."  My mom and I used to sing it to my brother a lot back in the day.  I also sing it to my own babes, it's a great song.  So, I made this set of three prints:

Here they are separately:

These and more prints available here.

Very cheerful I think!  Hopefully this cheer will chase the yuckies away!
